Strategic Change on Business

Ascom Miratel Oy, the leading Finnish Health Care call system provider with 85% market share, faced a new challenge in their business.

The European RoHS Directive banned certain substances in electronic equipment. Therefore all their existing hardware products had to be redesigned to accept new components.

At this point they made a strategic change on their business. Their concept of health care call systems was changed from hardware-based technology to software systems.

Neoxen QX Technology

By clever combination of Miratel technology and Neoxen QX Technology, Miratel created world's first fully IP-based nurse call system.

Neoxen QX Framework and Neoxen Trelox QX are utilized as the foundation of Miratel Innova solution. Miratel chose OEM licensing model for Neoxen QX Technology.

Long-Term Partnership

The foundation to success has been a long-term partnership agreement between the companies.

Neoxen and Miratel have successfully joined forces in product development, but also quality assurance and process management.

The technology changeover from hardware products to software systems required both an extensive process development project and internal training campaign at Miratel.
