Neoxen Systems and ICT Turku Ltd, a cluster focused on information and communications technology, signed a significant continuation agreement as a part of a large French-Finnish EUREKA research project in Software Process Improvement.

Neoxen–ICT Turku research project is part of the French-Finnish EUREKA project, “E! 3320 PRO3”. The mission of the project is to develop shrink-wrapped end user Software Process Improvement (SPI) products for Software Process Engineers, Project Managers and Software Designers for global markets.

The project is based on scientific Software Process Modeling research and the latest and emerging international standards, such as Software Process Engineering Metamodel (SPEM).

Neoxen is working closely with Softeam of France, universities and research centers as well as international technology partners, such as Microsoft, in this project. The project is partially funded by the National Technology Agency, TEKES

“This joint effort produces bleeding-edge scientific expertise in applied research of Software Process Modeling in Finland, especially in Turku. The first international publications of the research results have already been published, and there is more to come.” says Sari Peltonen, Director of R&D at Neoxen Systems. “The products developed in this project will be merged to our Software Factory product line during this year. The results will benefit companies of all sizes struggling with their efforts to speed-up software development processes without sacrificing the high quality.”

Neoxen Software Factory is based on the award-winning Neoxen Modus Methodology. It is a commercial product for organizations to manage their Software Development, Quality Assurance and Software Testing, and Technical Support. Software Factory contains nearly 100 guided templates, how-to documents and handbooks. Neoxen Modus Methodology is based on international standards and best industry practices, such as CMMI, SPEM, ISO9000/9001 and MSF.
