CICERO Learning is a network for distinguished researchers and research groups on learning. The researchers of the network are based in different universities and research institutes in Finland. The network builds co-operation with research groups and units around the world.

Currently (in 2012) CICERO Learning Network members are Aalto University, University of Helsinki, University of Lapland and University Consortium of Pori. CICERO Learning Network was established in 2005, and is coordinated by the University of Helsinki.

The mission of the Business and Innovation Development (BID) unit at the University of Turku is:

Tekes – the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation

Tekes launched Learning Solutions programme in February 2011. The objective of the programme is to develop internationally important learning solutions in cooperation with participants in the sector, to develop new operating approaches, create new skills and develop products, services and comprehensive packages for international markets.

Learning Solutions will be implemented from 2011 to 2015 and its estimated budget is EUR 52 million, of which Tekes' share is EUR 30 million.

The Enterprise Europe Network helps small business to make the most of the European marketplace. EEN works through local business organizations with close to 600 member organizations across the EU and beyond. They include chambers of commerce and industry, technology centers, universities and development agencies.

Eureka

The EUREKA Initiative is a decentralized network that brings together 35 European member states and the European Union with the aim of fostering cooperation in research and innovation. The EUREKA network operates through national EUREKA offices, which also serve as initial contact points for further information about EUREKA’s activities and procedures. Each country controls its own funding.

Tekes is responsible for the coordination of EUREKA activities and as a result, the national EUREKA Office is an integral part of Tekes. Tekes is also the main funding body of Finnish EUREKA participants.
