Miratel Oy

Miratel OY is a supplier of integrated communication and personal security systems. With an extensive product portfolio, we provide our customers with tailored solutions to meet their specific demands.

Over the past years, we have tailored telephone, nurse call and personal security systems to hospitals and health centres as well as service flats, nursing homes and homes for the elderly – for more than twenty thousand patients or residents. We have also equipped hundreds of schools with school communication systems and thousands of small and medium-size enterprises with telephone exchange systems. IRC Finland The Innovation Relay Centre Finland helps companies with the transfer of international technology, from identification of technological needs to the signing of cooperation contracts. IRC Finland is a member of the Network of Innovation Relay Centres, which consists of 71 Innovation Relay Centres in all EU Member States and in Iceland, Israel, Norway and Switzerland, Chile and Turkey and also in Central and East European countries.
Eureka

The EUREKA Initiative is a decentralised network that brings together 35 European member states and the European Union with the aim of fostering cooperation in research and innovation. The EUREKA network operates through national EUREKA offices, which also serve as initial contact points for further information about EUREKA’s activities and procedures. Each country controls its own funding.

Tekes is responsible for the coordination of EUREKA activities and as a result, the national EUREKA Office is an integral part of Tekes. Tekes is also the main funding body of Finnish EUREKA participants.

ICT Turku is an affiliate of 
				Turku Science Park

ICT Turku Oy: In the complicated labyrinths of microcircuits and the rapidly progressing field of information technology the goals need to be clear and decisions made quickly. The route to success can be found through networking. In Turku Science Park the co-operation is guided by ICT Turku, a cluster specialising in information and communication technology, as well as digital content provision and cultural production.

There are many units of major companies of the digital field operating in Turku Science Park, as well as a large number of growth companies offering services to them or focusing on a special expertise. The network of ICT Turku consists of more than 1,400 ICT companies and units from Southwest Finland.
Turku Science Park also offers newcomers close contacts with the universities and other ICT actors.

The supply of competent labour, one of the basic requirements of the development and growth of ICT companies, has been taken care of in the Turku Region. ICT training and research units of the University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University and the Turku School of Economics and Business Administration operate in Turku Science Park. Their joint ICT research centre TUCS (Turku Centre for Computer Science) provides master and doctor level ICT education. The ICT units of Turku Polytechnic and the Software Development Centre are located close to each other at the heart of Turku Science Park.
